I can't believe we only have a few days left here in Khao Lak. My video story is done, sans a few minor changes. I'm still chugging along on the sidebar content that I have to turn in. There is still so much to do here in Khao Lak that I haven't been out and done. Tomorrow I'm hopefully going to go get a Thai massage in the afternoon. Wednesday I'm going to Ko Panyee, a Muslim village on stilts, which I'm wicked excited about.

I'm so incredibly glad that I'm traveling after this trip - we haven't had enough time to just enjoy Thailand and wander through markets and get lost. It's only sad that I can only travel around for a week, because I feel like I've only seen a thread of the country.

Tonight I climbed out on the rocks with a Thai beer and soaked in the sunset. It was the best kind - sort of regular and mediocre until the last few minutes when all the pink came through.

On a different note: I've discovered that I can see the sea from the toilet seat, thanks to a strangely positioned and very large window that takes up an entire wall in my bathroom. Blogworthy, right?

Below: Self portrait at sunset. That funny shape in front of the sunset and clouds is my profile - the lights are from "downtown" Khao Lak, which I can see from the beach when I watch the sunset.

I think you're now required to post a pic of the sea taken from the toilet.

Not something I'd normally request. But hey, you made the claim. Back it up!

Thai beer is OK, but don't forget to try the Mekong Whiskey.

And if a small bottle should somehow fall into your luggage and come back to the states, I know how it can be disposed of.
