Out in La Provincia

Benjamin and Marcelo

On Sunday, the sister of a friend of a friend invited a few of us to her house outside the city. One subte, two colectivos and a taxi ride later, we arrived in the province of Lomas de Zamorra and discovered we were going to be "provincializada."

Ben brings hacky sack to the provincia.

In Argentina, a Sunday means a huge asado -- or cookout --  with enormous cuts of meat whose names I do not know in English or Spanish. Let's just say, there was a lot of fascination with the concept of vegetarianism.

It was perhaps the best day I've had in Argentina. A lot of ice cream, bike rides and people with real buena onda.
