Voyeurism at its best

(Watching people watch photos at the Museo de Arte Popular)

Buenos Aires is like a playground for people watchers, and Sundays are perhaps the best day for people watching, when everyone forgets about the week ahead, lets down their guard and lets it all hang out.

This particular Sunday I was treated to a concert by two teenagers who somehow forgot that they were on a colectivo full of people, and decided to rock out - - at the same time but not quite in unison - - to the music blasting out of their ipods. Air guitar included. The bus ride sounded like some strange American Idol audition where the potential idol decides to do simultaneous renditions of  "Ticket to ride" and "No day but today" but fails miserably. It was endearing.

I was also treated to a dental inspection by the old man who removed his teeth while waiting for the bus (they were fake, I discovered). And I encountered an impromptu dance circle in  Recoleta that featured a pregnant lady and a 7-year-old doing African-Brazilian dance. (Unfortunately I somehow deleted the video).

 Relaxing in Recoleta on Sunday.

Miss you all mucho!

Chau,
Julie

But who was watching you?
