Word from the cutest little coffee shop/bookstore in all of Palermo Soho (yes, they name their neighborhoods after classy American neighborhoods - right next door is Palermo Hollywood, and I've even heard of Palermo Village).

Living in BA has been challenging for the past few days, as my friends and I work our way through the labyrinth that is the apartment search in a city of millions. We have a few appointments to go look at places on Monday, but until then, we are still very unsettled. We switched hostels this morning, just decided that we needed a change of barrio.

I've been feeling a bit down, like things are moving a little too slowly. Realistically though, I can't expect to just immediately have an apartment and a job and a posse of Argentine friends. And then today - just as I was feeling frustrated - my friends and I stumbled upon an awesome street fair in the middle of Plaza Serrano, and then we had coffee at an outdoor cafe, with this woman banging away on her guitar (strumming away?). I can tell good things are to come.
